snippets from the sympathy card

I stood in front of the sympathy card section for a good ten minutes and I just couldn’t find it in me to buy any of them. None of them were “britt” enough. Then again, they don’t make funny sympathy cards and Britt, she was pretty funny and totally capable of making me laugh in the darkest and hardest situations.

She had something in her that surpassed her petite frame, that huge personality, the unreal amount of friendliness that she just poured out. She made my world and the world of everyone she encountered so much brighter. and that, that brightness, we do not ever lose, it is ours to keep.  I cannot think of a better way to to celebrate her life and to honor such an awesome person than to keep and share that brightness in our every day lives.

I pray that God just pours out his love, peace and comfort on you all and that as time goes by it heals and replaces the pain.  He will pick up the pieces and mend it all together into something beautiful, something we can’t even fathom.

Thank you for raising, shaping, teaching and loving such an amazing woman. She was truly a blessing in my life and I miss her and laugh so much.
