Grace in Small Things #1
1. Mondays off. I will seriously work bright and early Sunday morning if it meant having Mondays off again. Forget the weekend, I love having a day off when people are usually at work. Makes everything feel a bit more spontaneous and there aren’t crowds.
2. Old friends. I meet a lot of awesome people and have a lot of people come through for different reasons and seasons of my life, but old friends or friends that act/feel like old friends? THE BEST.
3. Eating food that I want to eat. I’m talking about this from a financial perspective. I don’t go out to lunch all the time and I tend to cook my meals rather than drop money for someone else to make it for me, but i went out to lunch with one of those old friends today and was grateful to have the finances to fund it. It wasn’t anything ridiculously fancy or expensive, but lets be real with the word recession flying around so much, forget it being a small thing, it is a huge blessing.
4. Replacing the rear tires. I was prepared to have to spend close to $700 in car repairs-weird noises and rattling and such-and after the diagnostic all i need to do is replace the rear tires.
5. People who push me. Thank you for taking the time to care and for not letting me stay within my comfort level.
